Outside of screenwriting for TV Alex O'Keefe has also been a speech writer for Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey.

By all accounts he was minding his own business and just trying to get where he was going. There's zero evidence of him committing any crime and the original call doesn't even claim any crime ffs!

The cops didn't even bother to question the Karen to get her side of the story.

Just in general, making a habit of breaking unjust rules is really good! Everyone should do it more! Kill the cop in your head! Be a rebel with a cause, the cause being to overcome misplaced obedience. With the state of the world as it is right now, the need to disobey false authorities (fascists, billionaires, drivers of climate change etc) has never been more urgent.

Start with a low risk level and work your way up. It's a good habit to just break social norms that aren't even written rules! Punks know what I mean. Some laws are unlikely to be enforced. Some things that are morally good but criminalised are easy to get away with. Some people have privileges that get them interesting opportunities... Think creatively.

Do. Act. Make the experience of breaking a "rule" and the world NOT ending! This can be something as small as going outside with total bedhair. Just go on a walk looking like a tramp if you don't usually (have to) do that. It can be freeing. Sleep in, be late to things you don't like, learn to dance around that line that'll get you in real trouble. Test things like that out.

Train that good good subversion muscle memory. Do what feels right to you instead of defaulting to what others expect or demand of you. Make that your way of life.

Just got an urgent Mutual Aid Request from comrades who are attempting to save a homeless couple's RV from impound in a scheduled sweep just a couple hours away.

Changing a tire like this on the morning of a sweep is extremely high risk for everyone involved. Multiple comrades have been arrested in similar situations.

Anything helps and time is of the essence!

Please pass to mutual aid groups besides Stop the Sweeps. An RV at ******* & ****** (under the freeway) just discovered that one of the front tires has been maliciously damaged & they doesn't have a spare...they plan to move a back tire (1 of the 4 on the rear axle) to that front side to get out of the sweep zone this morning but its a less than ideal solution. Hoping we can crowd source funds to get a setviceable used tire (size 215/85r16) purchased and mounted up for them since they doesn't have funds to do it. There are a couple of used tire places near here (roosevelt & lake city spring to mind)...not sure if they'll have one in stock but I have contact info should one be available & the funding becomes available. Thanks! (Will add pricing info once available). Please dm for more info.

Never-before-published footage shows why: 2 #Louisiana #sheriff’s deputies pummeled the naked 25-yr-old, flinging him around the DeSoto Parish Detention Center laundry room while landing a flurry of 50 punches.

In the aftermath of the 2019 #assault, 1 of the deputies resigned & the other was suspended. Internal records show the sheriff’s office concluded “there was no way of defending” the deputies’ actions.

Yet, that’s just what the #LouisianaStatePolice did.

ICE has reportedly been increasing arrests of law abiding immigrants in Yakima WA.

In one incident from earlier this month ICE arrested a legal immigrant on his way to work despite there being no legal reason to stop him let alone abduct the guy.

Initially ICE goons wrapped his phone in tin foil in an attempt to hide his location. Jamie Ortiz's husband was eventually located at the NW Detention center in Tacoma.

"ICE agents sent the administrative subpoenas to Google and Meta by invoking a broad legal provision that gives immigration officers authority to demand documents “relating to the privilege of any person to enter, reenter, reside in, or pass through the United States.”

One recent study based on ICE records found agents invoke this same provision hundreds of times each year in administrative subpoenas to tech companies. Another study found ICE’s subpoenas to tech companies and other private entities “overwhelmingly sought information that could be used to locate ICE’s targets.”

Unlike search warrants, administrative subpoenas like these do not require a judge’s signature or probable cause of a crime, which means they are ripe for abuse."

My girlfriend and I just witnessed, for the duration of our lunch, two sheriffs fuddling around a minivan trying to get in. Looks like some lady had locked herself out and someone/thing was still inside.

I really wanted to walk over and open it for her, but I'll be damned if my punky gender-nonconforming queer ass is going to walk over to two cops and offer to pick a car lock.

Eventually a whole damn lights & sirens firetruck showed up, totalling: 2 police SUVs, 1 firetruck, several cops, and several firemen. They got the door open.
