Next week I'm beginning a two week hackathon to fix all open bug reports* in Pixelfed.

The goal is simple, solid and stable backend and app so we can move on towards Loops, Sup and more

* - Account Migrations, IG Import, HEIC + video support, and maybe a few realistic feature requests if possible

Dark Mode, Stories, Filters, Video, Groups and more are coming to the app.

We've built a solid foundation and our team has identified and fixed the reported bugs, and I look forward to expanding our app and continuing to improve stability and reliability.

Groups are not new to Pixelfed, we have webUI support but the feature wasn't polished enough for use, until now

Groups will be compatible with Lemmy, Mbin, Smithereen and other projects, and will resemble Facebook Groups in our official app!

Stay tuned, we'll be shipping the updated Groups support in the app and webUI this weekend
