@QasimRashid Andrew Carnegie was a prize b*stard, but his #philanthropy built a lot of libraries in towns that might otherwise not have them. Government programs get so wrapped up in #redtape that the majority of the money goes to meeting pointless requirements about hiring, etc., or lining politicians’ pockets, that most of the money never gets where it’s supposed to.
