Hannes Papernoise<p>I recently received a Pocketbook E-book reader and I'm surprised by how much I like it.<br>Actually, I've written a whole blog post about it, which you can find here:</p><p><a href="https://www.horizontalpitch.com/2025/03/e-book-reader/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">horizontalpitch.com/2025/03/e-</span><span class="invisible">book-reader/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/ebooks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ebooks</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/eBookReader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>eBookReader</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/reading" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>reading</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/books" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>books</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/BuyFromEU" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BuyFromEU</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/EuropeanAlternatives" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EuropeanAlternatives</span></a></p>
</p><p><a href="https://dresden.network/tags/Followerpower" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Followerpower</span></a> <a href="https://dresden.network/tags/eBookReader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>eBookReader</span></a> :BoostOK:</p>
Archivist Liz<p>OK, looking for advice. Any recommendations for an <a href="https://digipres.club/tags/eBook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>eBook</span></a> reader that works well with <a href="https://digipres.club/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a>? Or a reader that comes with <a href="https://digipres.club/tags/overdrive" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>overdrive</span></a> or <a href="https://digipres.club/tags/Libby" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Libby</span></a> pre-installed? I really don't want a Kindle. I tried a Koba Libra Color because I thought it had Overdrive, but it doesn't in my location. 😭 I mostly want it for reading library books, but even workarounds like <a href="https://digipres.club/tags/WINE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WINE</span></a> were giving me issues, and it was more trouble than it was worth. <a href="https://digipres.club/tags/halp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>halp</span></a> <a href="https://digipres.club/tags/ebookreader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ebookreader</span></a></p>

Ashwin Nanjappa 👨‍💻<p>I've mentioned before that ReadEra is my favorite ebook reader app on Android. While the free version is great, it is totally worth paying for the Premium version to support the makers. 📚</p><p>The killer Premium feature for me is the sync of everything (books, quotes, dictionary, settings) across my phone and tablet. So I can pick up either device and continue reading instantly. 🤩</p><p><a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Android" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Android</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/EbookReader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EbookReader</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/ReadEra" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ReadEra</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/bookstodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bookstodon</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://codeyarns.com/tech/2023-01-12-readera.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">codeyarns.com/tech/2023-01-12-</span><span class="invisible">readera.html</span></a></p>

The only thing that keeps me with my Nook Glowlight is how power efficient it is, and that I don’t have to stare at an LCD screen. That kills my poor eyes.
